Psychological Assessments

Psychological assessments include a wide variety of evaluations.  For children that are experiencing academic difficulties, a psycho-educational evaluation is a great option to better understand the root cause of those difficulties.  With a targeted and individualized assessment, we are able to develop a profile that identifies your child's strengths, areas that would benefit from support and remediation, and problem solving strategies and an implementation plan.

Psychological assessments are also useful in determining levels of functioning in various domains.  For example, an individual with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, would benefit from an assessment to determine the levels of social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.  An individual with an Intellectual Disability, would benefit from an assessment to determine levels of cognitive and adaptive functioning.

A psychological assessment is a means to obtain specific and individualized information about an individual's cognitive, social/emotional/behavioral, and/or adaptive functioning.  This service is available for all ages from early childhood to late adulthood.  These include evaluations required for DDDS to help loved ones obtain much needed support and services.
